Public go Mad for March Hares
March Hares, by Peter Lomas, won the public vote at the club’s annual Photographic Exhibition at Ludlow Church. The stunning image taken in Norfolk captured the playful hares during the peak mating season giving rise to the popular phrase, ‘mad as a March hare.’ Wildlife photographs have been popular in each of the last three exhibitions, with Peter coming out on top two years ago.
The exhibition saw a 22% increase in visitor numbers over last year and a 26% increase in votes cast, with visitors form all corners of the world; and is becoming a firm favourite in Ludlow’s calendar.
The club is very grateful to St Laurence’s Church for use of the Lady Chapel during the two week exhibition.
